From both sides of the Pyrennees,on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean, in the centre of the Bay of Biscay is placed Euskal Herria, land of the Basques, ancient people, people of well-rooted customs who has been able to keep up their folklore alive.

And it is here, in the very heart of the Urola Valley, where the Sahatsa Basque Dance Group was founded in 1976. Nowadays, it is made up by 60 people from the friendly villages of Azkoitia and Azpeitia, being their main aim the spreading of the Basque folklore inside and outside the Basque Country.
